Kenton Black International is supporting a leading UK consultancy in expanding their Cost Management team. Currently, there are opportunities for degree-qualified MEP Cost Managers at various levels.
We are looking for candidates with a strong consultancy background and proven experience in delivering high-quality MEP cost management, quantity surveying, or scheduling across the full project lifecycle. Candidates should have good client-facing skills and a diverse project background, with preference for major build schemes over civils.
Responsibilities include:
* Pre- and post-contract duties such as cost estimates, RFPs, procurement, tendering, contract administration, variations, and final accounts.
* Feasibility studies and procurement reports.
* Estimating and cost planning, including presenting final cost plans.
* Tendering and procurement activities, managing pre-qualification, tender analysis, and contractual documentation.
* Cost checks and valuations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
* Producing monthly post-contract cost reports and presenting to clients.
* Engaging with clients and consultants throughout project stages.
* Managing cost variances and change control processes.
* Performing cost risk analysis, value engineering, and final account negotiations.
* Contributing to best practices in cost estimating based on feedback and project learnings.
The ideal candidate will:
* Hold a degree in Quantity Surveying (essential).
* Come from a consultancy background (essential).
* Possess MRICS qualification (preferable).
* Have strong MEP experience (essential).
