We are currently recruiting for an experienced Polisher / Smart Repair Technician to join a busy automotive bodyshop operation in Upper Heyford. This is a varied role combining polishing and cosmetic smart repair work within a modern workshop environment.
The successful candidate will have strong polishing experience alongside the ability to carry out a range of cosmetic and interior repairs to a high standard.
The Role:
As a Polisher / Smart Repair Technician, your responsibilities will include:
1. Polishing newly painted panels to remove imperfections and achieve a factory-quality finish
2. Removing scratches and correcting minor paint defects
3. Carrying out cosmetic smart repairs across a range of vehicles
4. Completing plastic, trim, and interior repairs
5. Carrying out windscreen and leather repairs where required
6. Ensuring all job cards and repair documentation are completed accurately
7. Working to company quality standards and workshop procedures
8. Managing workload effectively to support workshop efficiency
9. Supporting and assisting junior technicians where required
The Person:
10. Previous experience as a Vehicle Polisher, Smart Repair Technician, or similar role
11. Strong polishing skills are essential
12. Experience carrying out cosmetic and interior vehicle repairs
13. Good attention to detail and quality-focused approach
14. Able to work independently and as part of a team
15. Reliable with strong time management skills
16. Full UK Driving Licence (No more than 6 points for minor offences)
