The Chelmsford Public Schools is now accepting applications for the following anticipated vacancy. The District reserves the right to change this vacancy or not fill this vacancy based on further staffing changes, enrollment, or budget.
Position: High School Substitute Coordinator
Location: Chelmsford High School
Affiliation: This is an unaffiliated position. Employee-at-will
FTE: full-time. Workday schedule: 6:30 a.m.-2:00 p.m. (-day position)
Reports to: Chelmsford High School Principal and Deans
Responsibilities:
- Work with high school children, both in general education classrooms and the special education classroom to support students, the teacher and administration.
- Create schedules for substitute teachers
- Check for teacher lesson plans and provide them to the substitute teachers
- Print class rosters and post class attendance
- Create absences for teacher conferences, field trips and personal days
- Assign substitute teachers as needed
- Cover classes
- Assist with monitoring of lunches as needed
- Assist with emergency procedures and drills
- Monitor hallways
- Maintenance of employee attendance
- Other duties as assigned by administration

Chelmsford High School is a public high school located in Chelmsford Massachusetts, established in. The school is based on a three-house system. The houses are named after Ralph Waldo Emerson, Nathaniel Hawthorne, and John Whittier, three well-known New England writers. Each house has two to three school counselors, a dean, and an office. All students are assigned a house at the beginning of their freshman year. Chelmsford High School offers opportunities in high-quality academics, community service, performing arts experiences, championship-level athletics, and mentor relationships in a technologically rich environment.

Job Requirements/ Qualifications:
o Bachelor's degree or higher preferred
o Understanding about schools and schedules
o Computer and Technology Skills. Familiarity with online platforms.
o Highly organized
o Good oral and written communication skills
o Good problem solving and conflict resolution
o Ability to work well with staff and students
o Flexibility and team player
o Bachelor degree preferred.
o Citizenship, residency or work visa required
