Main duties of the job
As a Senior Care Assistant, your focus will be to support and work alongside the Care team to deliver high standards of personal care, providing a safe, caring, innovative, open, supportive, and inclusive environment for residents, visitors and staff. Other responsibilities include monitoring the wellbeing of each resident, participating in the person‑centred care planning process, supporting residents with their medication requirements, undertaking staff supervisions, and acting as the key point of contact for residents, their relatives, and health and social care professionals.

About the role: Your focus will be to support and work alongside the Care team to deliver high standards of personal care in a safe, caring, innovative, open, supportive, and inclusive environment for residents, visitors and staff.
* Monitor the wellbeing of each resident, ensuring that new needs are met and records are updated to reflect any variations.
* Participate in the person‑centred care planning process, implementing, monitoring, and undertaking monthly evaluations.
* Support residents with their medication requirements.
* Undertake staff supervisions and support staff development where required.
* Act as the key point of contact with residents, relatives, visitors, and health and social care professionals, addressing reasonable requests and escalating concerns or complaints.

Our ideal candidate must:
* Have an NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes.
* Have 2 years of experience working in a similar care environment.
* Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
* Have a positive attitude towards supporting and nurturing residents and staff.
* Be responsive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities.

Requirements
* A DBS Disclosure check (cost covered by Avery Healthcare).
* Proof of eligibility to work in the UK.
