Reporting to the Technical Manager, you will provide skilled technical support by writing, approving and maintaining accurate finished product specifications within the required timeframes

What your typical day as Specifications Technologist will look like:
8. Finished product specifications - To provide skilled technical support by writing, approving and maintaining accurate finished product specifications within the required timeframes, ensuring information contained is consistent with the source data (e.g. raw material data, factory recipes/specs, etc) and compliant with customer requirements and relevant legislation.
9. Artwork Approval - To ensure the timely approval of accurate, right first-time product pack copies and artwork in accordance with customer requirements and relevant legislation.
10. Internal Audits - Be a member of the Internal Auditing team and carry out internal audits as required according to the Internal Audit schedule.
11. Process approval of new products - Represent the Technical department at the handover of New Products from NPD to production, ensuring all documentation is accurate and in place e.g. work instructions, QAS and recipes.

Your essential ingredients:
12. Degree or equivalent in a technical, food related or science-based discipline.
13. Previous experience with Retailer on-line specification portals.
14. Be familiar with food safety management systems that comply with GFSI standards, including BRC.
15. Self-motivated individual who has determination and drive to succeed
16. First class communicator who has excellent interpersonal skills
17. Commitment to Food Safety & Quality and a passion to promote food safety culture with a 'can-do' attitude you will have a commitment to support continuous improvement and change
18. Team player who is also able to work unaccompanied
19. Able to prioritise multiple activities/requirements and to complete them to the expected level of detail and accuracy
20. PC skills with a good understanding of all Microsoft Office Packages
