Individual Needs Assistant – SEN Support
Location: Lancing, West Sussex
Pay: £85 – £95 per day (dependent on experience)
Start Date: September 2025
Full-Time | Long-Term
Are you a patient, caring, and committed individual with a passion for supporting children with special educational needs?
A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Lancing is seeking a dedicated Individual Needs Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a child with SEN, starting September 2025. This is a rewarding opportunity to work closely with a pupil, helping them access learning, build confidence, and thrive in a supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide tailored 1:1 support for a child with SEN
• Assist in adapting learning materials and classroom activities
• Support with social interaction, emotional regulation, and classroom routines
• Collaborate with the class teacher, SENCO, and external professionals
• Promote inclusion and a positive learning experience throughout the day
✅ Requirements:
• Experience supporting children with SEN ( autism, ADHD, speech & language)
• A compassionate, adaptable, and proactive approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• A genuine passion for making a difference in children's lives
• Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive practice
