Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will provide high-quality care to residents in a care home setting, ensuring their comfort, dignity, and well-being. This role involves assisting with daily living activities and supporting individuals in maintaining their independence while adhering to care plans.
Duties
* Assist residents with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
* Support individuals with mobility and transfers, ensuring safety at all times.
* Help with meal preparation and feeding as required, promoting nutritional needs.
* Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in residents' conditions to senior staff.
* Engage residents in social activities and companionship to enhance their quality of life.
* Follow care plans meticulously to ensure personalised care is delivered effectively.
* Communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members to foster a supportive environment.
* Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication purposes as needed.
Qualifications
* Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not essential.
* Strong communication skills are required for effective interaction with residents and colleagues.
* Basic IT skills for documentation and record-keeping purposes are essential.
* A caring attitude with the ability to empathise with the needs of others is crucial.
