Admin Officer (Grade 5)
Hours: 37 hours per week, Term Time Only (38 weeks) working hours 8am – 4pm 4 days per week, 8-3.30pm one day
Contract: Permanent
Green Lane Community Special School is seeking an organised, motivated and friendly Admin Officer to join our dedicated administrative team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a busy school office environment and is committed to supporting the smooth and efficient running of the school.
You will be a key point of contact for parents, carers, staff, visitors and external agencies, and will play an important role in ensuring high-quality administrative support across the school. We welcome applications from people with the stated required skills and qualifications.
About the Role
Working closely with the School Business Manager, you will support a broad range of administrative processes including reception cover, pupil data management, attendance monitoring, staff absence records, safeguarding procedures, and general office duties.
Your responsibilities will include:
Providing administrative support across the school
Acting as a welcoming and professional point of contact for parents, carers, visitors and agencies
Maintaining accurate pupil records, data and reports using SIMS
Monitoring and recording daily pupil attendance, following safeguarding procedures for absence
Supporting staff personnel administration, including absence records, agency bookings and the Single Central Record
Contributing to safeguarding processes and ensuring confidentiality, GDPR compliance and accurate record-keeping
