Highway Maintenance / Civil Engineering Operatives – Across Scotland, Lochgelly
BEAR Scotland is seeking Highway Maintenance / Civil Engineering Operatives to join their operations teams across Scotland, including Lochgelly. This full-time role involves delivering essential highway maintenance works.
As an Operations team member reporting to the Operations Manager, you should be experienced in roadwork or civil engineering operations. Training will be provided if necessary. A minimum LGV Class 2 Licence (HGV2) is preferred, and readiness to participate in winter and emergency response standby rotations is required.
Key Responsibilities:
* Road and footway patching and surfacing
* Traffic management installation
* Safety barrier installation
* Operation of power tools, small plant, and machinery
* Vehicle driving, including tractors with simple attachments
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
* Willingness to undertake training for certification
* Physical fitness for arduous conditions
* Experience with small plant
* Tickets for plant operation, traffic management, and Health & Safety are advantageous
* Full UK driving license, preferably at LGV Class C level
* Ability to work effectively in a team and flexible working practices
