Our client is a well established, family run construction company with extensive history and a strong regional presence. They operate across a variety of sectors including construction, joinery, concrete repair, property development and energy. Typical projects are valued between £1m and £15m consisting ofeducation, healthcare, industrial, residential, commercial, and heritage with services ranging from new builds to extensive refurbishments and retrofits. The company takes pride in being a complete construction partner, working closely with clients, communities and supply chains to deliver lasting and positive impact. Assistant Site Manager Summery: As the Assistant Site Manager, you will play a key supporting role on live construction sites, helping to oversee day to day operations, programme delivery, quality and safety. You will work alongside the Site Manager and Project Team to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the companys high standards. Assistant Site Manager Responsibilities: Assist with on site management of construction activities and ensure adherence to health and safety regulations and company standards Support the Site Manager in coordinating trade contractors, operatives and deliveries Monitor progress against the construction programme and assist with weekly updates Work with the Project Manager and Senior Site Manager to identify and mitigate risks Enforce quality control by inspecting workmanship, materials and finishes Help prepare and maintain project documentation such as RAMS, inspections and H and S files Contribute to the development of method statements and ensure subcontractor compliance Liaise with the supply chain, procurement and logistics teams to ensure timely deliveries Mentor and supervise junior team members Maintain strong communication with clients, stakeholders and the wider site team Assistant Site Manager Specification: Experience working on construction sites in a supervisory or management capacity Exposure to projects up to £20 million is desirable Strong understanding of health and safety requirements and RAMS Ability to interpret construction drawings and technical specifications Familiarity with construction programmes and scheduling Skills and Attributes Strong leadership and people management skills Excellent organisational and problem solving abilities Clear and confident communication skills Ability to work under pressure and make informed decisions High attention to detail with a commitment to quality Positive, collaborative and team focused approach Assistant Site Manager Benefits Salary between £50,000 and £65,000 Company car / vehicle allowance 26 days Annual leave bank holidays Opportunities for career progression within a stable and growing business Exposure to a broad range of project types including education and commercial builds Supportive working environment with ongoing training A company that cares about social value, sustainability and community impact How to Apply If you are ready to take the next step in your construction career, please click Apply or send your CV to the recruitment contact provided.
