Salary: £33,000 - £35,000 pa

Job Description:
To supervise the day to day running of the site and its facilities. To organise routine and reactive maintenance across all aspects of the school premises and other general duties. The post holder reports to the School Business Manager.
Main Responsibilities:
10. Carry out compliance checks (including on the fire alarm) and log on the digital management system.
11. Organisation of routine inspections and maintenance works.
12. Ensure contractors and those working on site are supervised and work safely.
13. To create, in conjunction with the School Business Manager, a plan to manage and improve the School’s buildings and grounds.
14. To manage the site team inbox and respond to all messages in a timely manner.
15. To work with the Site Assistant as required and ensure they have a working list of jobs to complete.
16. Project work as directed by the School Business Manager, which could include providing quotes and booking of required works.
17. Organising and overseeing routine contractors (window cleaning, etc.)
18. To be aware of Health & Safety and ensure works that are carried out are in line with policies.
19. Ensure completion of PAT testing as required.
20. To act as a Fire Marshall when required.
21. Taking appropriate action to prevent trespass or vandalism and ensure school is secure.
22. Inspecting drains, gullies and guttering to ensure they are free flowing and clean.
23. Being available to help with school events, either in or out of school hours.
24. Arranging for both routine and non-routine opening/closing of the school by prior agreement. when outside of normal working hours.
25. Upkeep and general care of the school.
26. Ensure that rubbish is stored appropriately.
27. Replenishment of toilets stock.
28. General maintenance and minor repair work.
29. General porterage duties and moving of furniture.
30. Assisting teaching staff with appropriate tasks as requested.
31. Setting up and clearing the hall for lunch and functions/events.
32. Receiving, checking and storage of deliveries.
33. Ensure that fire escape routes are kept clear.
34. Keep all hard surfaces free of ice to ensure they are safe.
35. Ensure that all lights, heating and electrical sockets are working safely and effectively.
36. Be aware of the location of all stopcocks, gas and electricity meters.
37. Any other reasonable tasks required by the Headteacher and School Business Manager
