We are looking for an experienced Sales and Events coordinator who is natural at selling and building rapport and relationships, who can make every client and guest feel like a VIP from the start. You will have the ability the convert enquiries into bookings, manage events and experiences from beginning to end to achieve growth. This is a hands-on, client facing role. That will involve working weekdays, some evenings, some weekends and holiday times as required and to accommodate event schedules and client needs..
Role Overview
This role is a live out, due to the location of the hotel you must have your own transport and live locally or within an hour commute.
What you'll do…
* Manage a diverse range of events and booking enquires, successfully converting these to bookings. work on and with reception to sell and increase room revenue at both Mhor hotels.
* Prepare detailed event proposals, contracts, schedules, conduct show arounds, menu tastings, invoices and reports.
* Work in service with your colleagues and pitch in and be a team player
* Drive and win new business for the hotel
* Organise event logistics, menus, decor, equipment, hire equipment, technical requirements, licences that are required and liaise with the existing team to ensure smooth execution on the day.
* Dealing with clients and guests will be your top priority, meeting couples, brides, corporate clients etc so you must be a natural at what you do.
* Seek and have the vision and ability to identify new business, increase revenue, build and maintain new client and corporate relationships both within the UK and Internationally.

* Hotel or experience in a similar role
* An individual who is emotionally intelligent and has confidence in working on your own but as part of a team
* If you're familiar with Mews, Res-Diary or front desk operating system would be a big advantage

* Produce accurate quotes, contracts, event schedules, invoices and reports so proficient IT skills is a MUST
* Have a full UK driving licence and a car ideally
Responsibilities
* Daily running and staffing of reception.
* Monitor occupancy and bookings daily and act to maximise revenue.
* Handle all booking enquiries, payments, emails promptly
* Work with the hotel General Manager and key team members to strengthen current relationships within the local community to gain repeat business.
* Attend and assist with on site events as required
* Identify and develop potential new business through cold calling and market research
* Be able to prepare and deliver sales presentations and quotes to prospective clients as required
* Competent and responsible for all reception administrative duties
* Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment sometimes under pressure
