Safety & Compliance Manager
Airbourne Aviation Services are part of the Airbourne Colours Group based at Teesside Airport. Due to continued growth and expansion, we are recruiting for an experienced Safety & Compliance Manager to join our team.
Role:
You will have responsibility for ensuring that all maintenance activities on customer aircraft components adhere to internal procedures and regulatory requirements. You will actively participate in compliance oversight, internal and external audits, risk analysis and the administration of engineering staff authorisations, Part 145 and Part 21G internal documentation.
Responsibilities and Duties:
* Support the Safety and Compliance nominated persons to ensure all maintenance activities performed under the Part 145 and Part 21G approvals adhere to internal and regulatory requirements.
* Plan and implement the internal and external audit plan across all elements of the CAA Part 145 and Part 21G approvals.
* Register risk reports, occurrence reports and non-conformances in the IQSMS portal.
• Investigate and determine root causes and corrective actions to support closure of internal occurrence reports and findings issued to the organisation by customers or the Competent Authority.
* Preparation and revision of the company MOE and POE, associated procedures and forms.
* Promotion of the organisations Safety Management System (SMS) through the facilitation of the hazard identification and risk management.
* Liaise with regulatory authorities and third-party organisations as required.
Required Experience:
* Demonstrable experience working in a safety management and compliance monitoring function within an aviation organisation.
* Working knowledge and understanding of SMS principles and CAA Part 145 and Part 21G regulations.
* Completed a recognised course in auditing techniques or hold a formal auditing qualification.
* Practical experience and expertise in the application of aviation safety standards and safe operating practices.
* Proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.
Additional Requirements:
* Candidates must have legal authorisation and the right to work in the UK.
* Full UK driving licence.
* Ability to obtain security clearance and hold an airside ID pass.
