Executive Assistant (Governance) – Temporary Contract
Location: Godstone, Surrey
Rate: £18 per hour
Contract: 3‑month temporary with potential extension
Work setting: Onsite with option to work from home 1 day per week
We are recruiting an experienced and highly organised Executive Assistant (Governance) to support senior leadership and trustees within a purpose‑driven, values‑led organisation based in Godstone.
Key Responsibilities
* Coordinate Board, committee and Senior Management Team (SMT) meetings
* Prepare agendas, papers, minutes and action logs
* Maintain governance and compliance registers
* Support policy review and publication processes
* Track organisational risks, actions and deadlines
* Provide high‑level executive support to senior leaders
* Manage confidential records, archiving and documentation
* Coordinate trustee onboarding, declarations and training records
* Support regulatory readiness and governance reporting
Required Experience and Skills
* Previous experience in an Executive Assistant or Governance support role
* Excellent minute‑taking and organisational skills
* Strong Microsoft Office / Microsoft 365 skills
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
* Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
* Proactive, calm and solutions‑focused approach
* Experience supporting senior leadership teams or boards
* Experience within the charity or not‑for‑profit sector is highly advantageous
Due to the nature of the organisation, this role will require an Enhanced DBS check.
