Salary: £17,739 £26,137 per annum (pro rata)
Full-Time Equivalent: £29,565 £43,562 per annum
Contract: Permanent (0.6 FTE)
Holiday: 45 days annual leave plus bank holidays (pro rata)

We are working with a high-performing, student-focused college in North Yorkshire, recognised for its supportive culture and strong academic delivery, to recruit a Lecturer in Criminology and Law.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a thriving Social Sciences department, delivering predominantly A Level Criminology, alongside some Law teaching. Criminology is the primary focus of the role, making it ideal for candidates with a strong background and passion in this subject area.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver high-quality A Level Criminology and Law lessons, with a focus on Criminology
* Plan, prepare, and assess student work to support progress and achievement

* Contribute to curriculum development and departmental initiatives
Who We re Looking For:
Ideally you will have:
* Degree in Criminology, Law, or a closely related subject
* Level 5 Teaching Qualification (or equivalent)
* Experience teaching A Level Criminology and/or Law
* Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for Social Sciences
We will also consider:
* Qualified secondary school teachers (e.g. in Law, Sociology, or related subjects)
* Experience teaching at GCSE level, with an interest in moving into A Level teaching
* Willingness to develop subject expertise in Criminology
