Role
Support the procurement team on day-to-day activities including resolving supplier non-conformance, invoicing queries, new supplier sourcing, tender management, contract management, in line with existing procedures, managing and analysing procurement data.
Responsibilities
* Identify, evaluate, and manage relationships with suppliers, negotiate contracts, and monitor supplier performance to guarantee timely and quality deliveries.
* Draft, review, and manage contracts with suppliers, including terms and conditions, service level agreements, and performance metrics.
* Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with the company's goals, ensuring the procurement function supports overall business objectives.
* Provide support across multiple functions to resolve supply chain queries. Drive project-level tasks and milestones assigned by the project management team.
* Identify and mitigate potential supply chain risks, such as disruptions, shortages, or supplier instability.
* Implement cost-saving initiatives, conduct price negotiations, and continuously seek opportunities to optimize procurement expenditures.
* Ensure that procurement practices adhere to all relevant laws, regulations, ethical standards, and company policies.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
* A recent graduate, preferably in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field.
* Strong communication and organisational skills.
* A keen interest in procurement and supply chain management.
* Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
* Attention to detail and a problem-solving mindset.
* Excellent Excel and analytical skills.
The Offer
* Location: Thirsk, North Yorkshire (Hybrid - 3 days on site)
* Salary: £30,000 per annum
* 10% annual company bonus scheme
* Hours: 37.5 hours per week - Monday to Friday
* Pension: Employee contributions 3% / Employer contribution 8% (salary sacrifice company pension scheme)
