Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in commercial and residential settings
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine the layout of electrical wiring
- Install electrical components such as circuit breakers, switches, outlets, and lighting fixtures
- Test electrical systems and equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety
- Troubleshoot electrical issues and perform necessary repairs or replacements
- Collaborate with other construction professionals to ensure electrical systems are integrated effectively into overall building plans
- Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines while performing electrical work
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an electrician or in a similar role
- Knowledge of building codes, regulations, and safety standards
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
- Strong understanding of electrical theory and principles
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Physical stamina and strength to perform tasks such as lifting heavy equipment or working in confined spaces
