Amazon’s SLP team is seeking a highly skilled and motivated person to help develop and implement a world-class security program for our first mile network, ensuring timely delivery of items to our customers at the best possible cost. Amazon is a globally recognized brand, distributing millions of products annually to loyal customers.
The SLP Specialist – MDR Return, will partner with stakeholders and program teams across various cities within a region to execute security policies and provide security services and asset protection (lives, inventory in transit and within the sort center, buildings, equipment, data, & intellectual property). The Manager is a key member of the AMZL team, working with regional and cross-functional teams throughout the organization.
1. Perform risk assessments of site & operation models and implement mitigation measures.
2. Ensure site compliance with security policies and industry or merchant requirements, demonstrating thorough understanding of central/state security issues.
3. Coordinate final testing and acceptance of site security systems, including access control systems.
4. Establish and implement procedures and prevention programs to reduce losses, pilferage, and accidents, including conducting safety analyses.
5. Conduct site security audits to identify non-compliance and implement solutions to mitigate risks and injuries.
6. Manage guarding vendors to meet or exceed service level agreements, ensuring proper recruitment, hiring, and performance standards.
7. Develop and deploy security training programs.
8. Serve as a security subject matter expert and liaison within the department.
9. Address security incidents and test incident response plans.
10. Track and report key performance metrics.
11. Coordinate with support teams such as Worldwide Operations Security, IT Security, and Network Engineering.
12. Utilize Kaizen, Lean, and Six Sigma methodologies to improve processes and efficiency.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
University degree or equivalent experience with professional certification. 4-7 years in security, loss prevention, law enforcement, or related fields. Knowledge of shrink management, data analysis, security investigations, and auditing.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Certifications in Loss Prevention, Investigation/Security, or related fields. Military/law enforcement background or criminology/forensics studies. Experience in emergency response, crisis management, training, and security investigations.
