Church & Dwight UK Ltd. has an exciting opportunity for an Indirect Procurement Manager Europe to join our Procurement Department based in our Corporate Office in Folkestone, Kent.
As the Indirect Procurement Manager Europe, you will play a pivotal role in managing indirect procurement activities across our UK and EU sites. This position involves supporting the Associate Director of Procurement in driving indirect procurement savings and leading cost-saving strategies across the EU supply chain. It offers a chance to demonstrate expertise in executing strategic procurement initiatives, leading negotiations, and building sustainable relationships that contribute to our long-term success.
Responsibilities
* Lead procurement-led savings initiatives, identifying opportunities to reduce costs in indirect procurement areas.
* Manage the procurement and sourcing process proactively, ensuring the best value and innovation through marketplace competitions.
* Negotiate with suppliers, developing contracting solutions that meet strategic objectives and gain stakeholder approval.
* Develop a strategic outlook for the next five years, ensuring continuous service and value through effective supplier and stakeholder management.
* Stay informed about marketplace trends and implement procurement models that enhance efficiency and progress.
* Formulate and execute a comprehensive 5-year plan to reduce costs, aligning with company objectives and reporting progress.
* Conduct supplier performance reviews to ensure contract adherence and foster continuous improvement.
* Collaborate closely with US Director of Global Indirect Procurement to ensure regional alignment.
Requirements
* Fluent in English with excellent communication skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
* Preferably CIPS qualified or with a similar professional qualification in procurement.
* At least 5 years' experience in a similar role, managing a broad spectrum of indirect procurement categories such as Marketing, MRO, IT/Telecom, HR, Professional Services, Logistics, and collaboration with commercial teams and plant managers.
The ideal candidate will have proven skills in contract negotiation, securing favorable terms, achieving cost savings, and influencing senior stakeholders. They should be strategic thinkers, committed to industry trends and innovative procurement practices.
This role is a permanent position, working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with hybrid working options available.
