Plant Manager - Energy from Waste
Excellent basic salary + location allowance + car allowance + generous bonus
Location: Oxfordshire/Buckinghamshire
SCINERGY Recruitment are looking for a Plant Manager to join an established EFW power station in the Oxfordshire/Buckinghamshire area.
This is a senior leadership role with full accountability for site performance. The successful candidate will take ownership of plant operations, maintenance delivery and financial performance, ensuring the facility operates safely, efficiently and in line with contractual requirements.
Responsibilities
* Overall leadership and management of the EfW facility, with responsibility for operational performance and profitability
* Ensuring safe, reliable plant operation while meeting availability, throughput and power generation targets
* Full ownership of site financials, including P&L management, budgeting, forecasting and cost control
* Managing and developing the site team, covering recruitment, training, performance and succession planning
* Liaising with commercial teams, local authorities and external stakeholders to ensure contractual and regulatory obligations are met
* Driving continuous improvement across operations and maintenance, working with central engineering functions where required
* Maintaining high standards of health, safety and environmental compliance across the site
Qualifications
* Significant management experience within power generation or a similar heavy process environment at Plant, General, Operations or Maintenance Manager level
* A minimum HNC qualification in a relevant engineering discipline (mechanical, electrical, chemical or similar)
* Strong leadership and people management capability at a senior level
* Proven experience managing site budgets and P&L
* Contract management experience
* A solid understanding of HSE best practice - IOSH or NEBOSH
