Job Description:

The shift pattern for this position is Monday to Sunday, 07:00-19:15/19:00-07:15, as per shift rota.
Gartnavel General Hospital Estates Department seeks a motivated, enthusiastic, resilient, and hardworking Maintenance Multi Skilled Electrical Technician. The role involves maintaining a wide range of building services plant and equipment, including:
* Providing technical expertise, operating, and maintaining safe and efficient systems for all building services.
* Delivering electrical services to meet NHS GG&C Health Board needs, ensuring safe patient care and effective estate services within healthcare facilities.
* Inspecting faults in plant and machinery, recommending repairs, and discussing potential impacts with managers or department heads.
* Carrying out planned preventative maintenance, completing work requests, and maintaining records.
* Adhering to NHS GG&C Health and Safety policies and procedures.
* Undertaking minor alterations and modifications to existing services.
* Performing electrical circuit testing according to regulations.
* Managing daily workload and priorities, participating in on-call duties for emergency repairs outside normal hours.
Qualifications include:
* A recognized and registered EITB or CITB apprenticeship, City & Guilds qualification, or equivalent. Extensive relevant experience, preferably within healthcare maintenance.
* An HNC or equivalent qualification in a core subject, with additional skills as required.
Designated individuals must undertake training to become certified as a Competent Person, including specialist and refresher training.
