Your Impact
As a Senior WordPress Full Stack Developer, you'll:
Lead the maintenance and feature development of enterprise-level WordPress sites across multiple brands.
Build and maintain shared plugins and reusable microservices to enhance performance and scalability.
Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to deliver digital products that push boundaries.
Optimise site performance - improving response times, query efficiency, and Core Web Vitals.
Troubleshoot, debug, and improve site functionality to ensure seamless editorial workflows.
Champion best practices in coding, architecture, and deployment.
What You'll Bring
8+ years' hands-on WordPress development experience
Deep understanding of
WordPress + Gutenberg
Strong skills in
PHP, JS, React, HTML, CSS
Experience building
custom Gutenberg blocks, APIs, and feeds
Solid knowledge of
Git ,
Agile, and
JIRA
Understanding of
performance optimisation ,
caching, and
Core Web Vitals
Confident communicator and collaborator in distributed teams
Nice to Have
Experience with
WordPress VIP
or
PugPig
Exposure to
AWS (S3, Lambda, EC2, API Gateway)
Familiarity with
Symfony, Twig, TypeScript, Webpack
CI/CD tools:
CircleCI, GitHub Actions, TeamCity
Automated testing with
PHPUnit, Behat, Playwright
Experience integrating subscription platforms (e.g.
Piano.io, Zephr )
