The Role
* You will lead the development of technical communities and knowledge resources that support chemical, biochemical, and process engineers.
* This includes managing networks, curating content, driving engagement, and supporting professional excellence across the sector.
* The role involves team leadership, stakeholder collaboration, and strategic oversight of a £250k budget.
The Person
Essential:
* Master’s degree (or higher) in chemical, biochemical, or process engineering
* Proven experience developing and managing technical networks and knowledge resources
* Strong understanding of clean energy and its application across industry
* Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
* Ability to lead a small team and manage budgets effectively
* Comfortable working across sectors and career stages
* Willingness to travel and work flexibly, including occasional out-of-hours events
Desirable:
* Experience in a learned society, professional body, or similar environment
* Familiarity with online knowledge platforms and digital content strategy
* Track record of promoting technical excellence and professional development
* Passion for sustainability, innovation, and inclusive community building
