Overview

UHSussex NHS Trust seeks to employ four B8a Efficiency Business Partners. The Trust has an ambitious and challenging Efficiency and Improvement Programme which requires continuous development in the way services are delivered to further enhance patient experience, quality of care and outcomes and to ensure the Trust becomes financially sustainable. As part of this efficiency programme, there are key initiatives within Corporate Hub Arrangements; Workforce; Estates Improvement Programme; Productivity, Theatres and Outpatient Improvements that require project management support.

You will need to be an experienced project manager with exceptional governance skills and used to influencing and delivering change in a complex environment. You will be highly motivated, personable, credible and confident to work on different aspects of the efficiency programme with the level of autonomy appropriate to your grade. You will be a strong team player and will value the importance of fostering effective relationships and achieving results in partnership with others. You will be ready for a new challenge in a fast-paced organisation and committed to helping the Trust deliver its vision.


Responsibilities

* Work closely with operational and corporate teams and use project management and service improvement skills and tools to scope, develop and support delivery of workstreams that contribute toward the Trust’s annual Efficiency Programme.
* Provide programme management support aligned to complex projects within the efficiency programme and report to the Heads of Efficiency within the Efficiency team.
* Collaborate with Heads of Efficiency, Efficiency/Finance/HR Business Partners and the Trust’s leadership teams to enable delivery of divisional workstream outcomes within agreed quality, cost and time parameters.
* Contribute to the delivery of a mix of core tactical and strategic pay and non-pay cost-saving actions, alongside income generation as part of the Efficiency Programme.
* Deliver financial and non-financial benefits and set clear, measurable key performance indicators and targets for each project; ensure benefits realisation remains a focus throughout project delivery.
* Travel across hospital sites may be required (RSCH, PRH, SRH, WOR and Southlands).


Qualifications and requirements

* Experience as a project manager with governance skills in a complex environment.
* Ability to influence, deliver change and work autonomously/m collaboratively as part of a team.
* Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
* Experience in service improvement and benefit realisation within a healthcare setting is desirable.
