Salary: £45,000 to £55,000 + bonus
Chadwick Nott are pleased to be working with a highly respected law firm seeking a Development (Plot Sales) Fee Earner to join their specialist team in Gloucester. This is a rare opportunity to work with national developer clients on high-quality residential development matters, in a friendly and well-established team.
The Role
This is a client-facing role offering exposure to a wide range of residential development work. Responsibilities include:
* Handling site set-up of new development sites (training provided)
* Drafting contracts, transfers, and leases for plot sales
* Managing part-exchange and resale transactions
* Responding to enquiries from buyers' legal representatives
* Reporting to clients on part-exchange properties
* Managing exchange and completion of sales and purchases
* Submitting SDLT returns and overseeing registrations
* Supervising junior staff and supporting team operations
* Liaising with statutory authorities on infrastructure agreements
* Supporting the department's billing targets and client relationships
Candidate Requirements
This role is suited to a Solicitor or Legal Executive with:
* NQ to 2 years PQE (property experience required; development experience not essential)
* Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
* Ability to manage client relationships and work independently
* Excellent written and verbal communication
* Proactive, adaptable, and team-oriented approach
* Familiarity with ICT systems and legal platforms
* Commitment to confidentiality and professional standards
