Location: Canavan's Hotel

Department: Food & Beverage

Reports To: Food & Beverage Manager / Operations Manager

Job Type: Full-Time | Shift Work | Weekends & Evenings Required

Position Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Bar and Restaurant Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our food and beverage outlets. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, strong leadership skills, and a keen eye for detail. You will be responsible for maintaining service standards, managing staff, and ensuring guest satisfaction at all times.

Key Responsibilities

* Supervise day-to-day operations of the bar and restaurant to ensure smooth service.
* Lead and motivate the front-of-house team, including bartenders, servers, and hosts.
* Maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation, and customer service.
* Assist with staff scheduling, training, and performance management.
* Handle customer queries, complaints, and feedback in a professional manner.
* Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering beverages and supplies.
* Ensure compliance with licensing laws, health and safety, and food hygiene standards.
* Support the Food & Beverage Manager with stock control, cost control, and reporting.
* Assist in planning and executing special events or promotions.
* Maintain a positive and professional work environment.

Requirements

* Previous experience in a supervisory role within a bar and/or restaurant environment
* Strong leadership and communication skills.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
* Excellent customer service skills with a hands-on approach.
* Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
* Knowledge of POS systems and cash handling procedures.
* Personal license (desirable but not essential).
