What You’ll Do:Develop and execute against an agreed plan for the Public Sector GTM, focused on aggressive growth within the UK&IBe an inspired leader, leading a team of 6 AE’s from the front, by being authentic, engaged and in the field with the team driving Mimecast’s ambitionBe front and centre building strategic working relationships across the Public Sector, understanding requirements, provide effective solutions to meet the marketProactively lead the Channel Partner eco system, working closely with the partner community to maximise Mimecast’s presence and mindshareProactive collaborate within a matrixed organisation to ensure the Public Sector organisation is correctly represented within the UK&IAssume full ownership of the operational cadence of the Public Sector team, ensuring the team meet the aspirational goals for the Public Sector for the UK&I Monitor and report on sales performance, providing regular updates to senior management on the progress against targets and identifying areas for improvementSystematically evaluate approaches that enable Mimecast to expand within the Public Sector market -- Retention of customer, expansion of customer, and acquisition of new customerAssume full responsibility for Public Sector Revenue, Support and Product deliverable targetsDemonstrate thought leadership of the Public Sector (internally & externally) through whitepapers, webinars, events, speaking engagements, point of view content, and industry best practicesCommit to continuous personal development, to include training & enablement programmes to continuously develop product, market & competitive knowledge, across the Public Sector teamWhat You’ll Bring:A strong history of individual sales performance, strong team player, with proven leadership experienceProven experience selling complex IT solutions to Public Sector, (ideally within Security / SaaS / Email / Storage segments)Experience as a Sales Manager responsible for the performance and results of Individual Contributors. Demonstrable ambition and energy to build and lead a high-performance sales team, with a vision to dominate the UK Public Sector marketDegree level education (preferred but not required)Demonstrable success at building a robust & repeatable Operating Model to drive predictable and sustained results, enabling scale easily as we grow our Public-Sector businessProven examples of successfully building and leveraging Channel partnerships to significantly broaden reach and accelerate time to market. Broad general knowledge of the high-technology industry with understanding of customer security architectures, cyber security landscape and technologies, Cloud & SaaS delivery models, regulatory drivers for information management strategies and knowledge of Public Sector purchasing processesExperience engaging C-Level contacts within customers and prospectsConfident in becoming an expert at delivering Mimecast story and strategy to a high standard via Whiteboards, Presentations and SpeechesDemonstrable sales success across at least HE/FE, LRG/CG & HA & NHS within the UK Public SectorUnderstanding of solution selling methodologies (E.g.
