Brain Injury Support Worker
Location: Rhyl Hours: Mon, Wed & Fri – either 10-3pm or 11-4pm
We seek a dedicated and compassionate Brain Injury Support Worker to join our team. You will provide high-quality care to ensure the client’s comfort, safety, and well-being.
Requirements:
* Full UK driving license and willingness to drive the client’s car.
About the Client: A male in his 20s with a brain injury from a road traffic accident. Although managing personal care and medication independently, encouragement, prompting, and medication monitoring are required.
Responsibilities include managing laundry, mail, domestic hygiene, meal planning/prep, budgeting, scheduling, using memory aids, reinforcing coping strategies, attending therapy and medical appointments, and engaging with the community.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver personalized care and support.
* Assist with daily activities, including community outings and appointments.
* Encourage personal care and monitor medication.
* Manage domestic tasks and support administrative duties.
* Provide emotional support and maintain accurate care records.
* Collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members.
Requirements:
* Experience in a similar role, preferably with brain injury experience.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Energetic, empathetic, and positive attitude.
* Ability to work independently and in a team.
* Flexibility to work the specified hours.
* Valid UK driver’s license.
