Lead Reliability Engineer - 3x
Location: 1x Hampshire, 1x Sussex, 1x Kent - Hybrid (3 offices/sites and remote work). Driving license is essential.
Perm/FTC: Permanent
Hours: 37 hrs, Monday - Friday
Salary: Up to £63K, depending on skills and experience
We are recruiting three Lead Reliability Engineers for Kent, Sussex, and Hampshire to lead teams of reliability engineers. Your expertise will be vital in creating and implementing strategies to maintain assets at high standards, increasing reliability, and minimizing downtime.
Managing up to four direct reports, you will coach and develop your team, ensuring they are trained in reliability engineering, maintenance techniques, and best practices for sustainable asset management.
You will oversee the implementation of reliability strategies (RCM, PM, CBM) to optimize asset maintenance cost-effectively and efficiently, collaborating with maintenance and operational managers to ensure safety, environmental, and regulatory compliance.
Leading data analysis on asset performance, failure trends, and KPIs, you will make informed decisions to improve reliability. As part of continuous improvement, you will identify failure patterns and risks to eliminate asset failures.
You will ensure assets are utilized efficiently throughout their lifecycle, from acquisition to decommissioning, through effective maintenance strategies. You will also prepare reports for senior management to demonstrate the effectiveness of reliability initiatives.
Success in this role requires strong leadership, management skills, and experience with electrical, ICA, and mechanical assets. Knowledge of reliability analysis techniques (RCM, FMECA) and asset criticality is essential.
You should be highly organized, logical, and analytical, with excellent planning skills. Strong communication skills and an engaging style are important as you help shift the team towards a proactive, reliability-centered maintenance approach, aligning with AMP 8 objectives.
