English Teacher – Secondary (Middlesbrough) Location: Middlesbrough Contract: Full-time / Part-time / Supply / Long-term Start Date: ASAP Protocol Education is working with secondary schools across Middlesbrough to recruit a Secondary English Teacher to deliver engaging and high-quality teaching across KS3 and KS4. This role is suitable for QTS-qualified teachers, ECTs, and experienced cover supervisors or teaching assistants with strong English subject knowledge. The Role: Deliver engaging and well-structured English Language and Literature lessons. Provide effective classroom cover when required. Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all students. Maintain strong behaviour management and a positive learning environment. Support students’ reading, writing, and communication skills. The Ideal Candidate: Holds QTS or has relevant classroom experience in English (teachers, cover supervisors, or TA cover). Confident teaching English across KS3–KS4 (KS5 experience desirable but not essential). Strong subject knowledge and communication skills. Reliable, adaptable, and proactive.
