Job description: Are you an experienced operational leader looking for your next career move? Are you able to build strong customer relationships and drive a large operational team to success? Here at GXO, we are currently recruiting for a Senior Operations Manager to join our team in Avonmouth, supporting one of our new business wins! As a Senior Operations Manager, you will predominantly lead the operation to ensure the operational performance meets all internal business targets and clients' expectations. This is a full-time, permanent position predominantly working Tuesday to Saturday, 09:00 till 17:00.
With this being a 24/7 operation, we do ask for some flexibility, this is logistics after all!
Pay, benefits and more: We are looking to offer a salary of up to £65,000 per annum, and 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays). What you'll do on a typical day:
1. Establish a positive working relationship with all functions.
2. Ensure that the customer's needs are fully understood and translated into effective operational plans.
3. Deliver end-to-end service within the outbound function.
4. Overall accountability for operational performance against KPIs.
5. Responsible for setting and managing budgets for your area of responsibility.
6. Identify areas of improvement within the outbound processes and manage operational constraints.
What you need to succeed at GXO:
* Previous experience within a senior leadership role within a fast-paced outbound logistics environment.
* The ability to lead, develop, and mentor a large, diverse operational team, recognizing talent and inspiring them to success.
* Be customer-focused, operationally astute, and experienced in achieving challenging objectives and operating to high standards.
