Teaching Personnel is recruiting a Science Teacher for a well regarded secondary school in County Durham. This is a full time position starting September 2026, ideal for passionate educators who want to inspire the next generation of scientists.
The school offers a supportive environment with strong leadership, excellent resources, and a commitment to staff development. You'll teach across KS3 and KS4, delivering engaging lessons in Biology, Chemistry or Physics to students of varying abilities.
What you'll be doing:
* Teaching Science across KS3 and KS4
* Planning and delivering high quality, engaging lessons
* Assessing student progress and providing constructive feedback
* Managing classroom behaviour effectively
* Working collaboratively with the Science department
* Contributing to the wider school community
You need:
* QTS or equivalent teaching qualification
* Degree in a Science related subject (Biology, Chemistry, Physics)
* Experience teaching Science at secondary level (or ECT ready to start)
* Excellent communication and classroom management skills
* Commitment to raising attainment and supporting student progress
