We are looking for an ambitious and driven Junior Sous Chef to join our kitchen team in Northampton. This is a fantastic opportunity for a strong Chef de Partie or Junior Sous looking to progress their career in a professional, well‑organised kitchen.
The Role
As Junior Sous Chef, you will support the Head Chef and Sous Chef in the day‑to‑day running of the kitchen, helping to maintain high standards of food quality, consistency, and service.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist in managing kitchen operations and service
* Lead and motivate the team in the absence of senior chefs
* Ensure dishes are prepared and presented to the highest standards
* Maintain excellent levels of cleanliness, food safety, and hygiene
* Support stock control, ordering, and wastage management
* Contribute to menu development and daily specials
* Train and develop junior members of the kitchen team
What We’re Looking For
* Experience as a Chef de Partie or Junior Sous Chef
* Strong leadership and communication skills
* A passion for fresh, high‑quality food
* Ability to work calmly under pressure
* Good organisational and time‑management skills
* Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate (preferred but not essential)
