Position Overview
A vacancy at University Hospitals Dorset NHS Foundation Trust.
In partnership with the existing Breast Cancer Specialist team, this autonomous role will coordinate services and provide support to patients with metastatic breast cancer and their carers/families from diagnosis, through treatment and ongoing supportive care.
Key Responsibilities
* Act as key worker and utilise expert knowledge to provide comprehensive specialist advice, information and psychological support to patients with a diagnosis of metastatic breast cancer.
* Work clinically and strategically with clinicians, the Lead Cancer Nurse and Cancer Nurse Specialist Lead and support the wider members of the Breast Multi-disciplinary team.
* Develop innovative nursing practice and provide specialist advice within the field.
* Serve as an educational resource to all members of the MDT and the wider trust, facilitating the development of nurses and healthcare staff to improve the patient experience.
Location and Working Arrangements
This role is based in Poole Hospital but will involve times of cross‑site working.
Requirements
Requires NMC Registration.
