The post will be based in Central Norfolk CRHT alongside a Consultant Clinical Psychologist, Neurodevelopmental Clinical Nurse Specialist, and an Assistant Psychologist. The intensive support resource will work with those service users with comorbid autism and mental health difficulties in a formulation-led and recovery-oriented way for up to a year with the aim of improving mental health stability and recovery. We are expecting that many of the service users will be in the 18-25 age group based on our local service utilisation data. We expect the successful candidate to have a keen interest in data acquisition, processing and interpretation and be a confident and concise communicator. Ideally, the post holder will have a professional background in Autism and/or Learning Disabilities and a passion for working in the field of neurodiversity.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will work within a very small resource offering, supporting and delivering specialised autism care provision within a small team. This post will only cover the Norfolk and Waveney area of NSFT.

Within this role, there will be a dedicated amount of time for direct work with service users and their families and support networks. The service will operate with a capped caseload so that a small cohort of service users can receive intensive support.

To ensure equity of access across Norfolk and Waveney, the post, although based in Norwich, needs to have adequate geographical reach across the whole ICB footprint. Joint working with our key system partners for LD, Autism and Mental Health will be important for this role.
