Our Values: We Lead The Way | We Dream Big | We Get it Done | We Innovate | We Inspire our Community Role Purpose: The role of the Kit and Equipment Lead is to provide direct and proactive support to staff and players for matches (home and away), training sessions and training camps. This role provides daily operational support to coaches and the wider Operations team to ensure smooth running of training sessions and matches in respect of kit and equipment. The ideal candidate will be well organised and possess strong customer service skills, with the ability to anticipate others’ needs ahead of time. They will be personable and approachable with a solutions-focussed approach to their work. Main Duties/ Responsibilities 1. Kit and Equipment · Manage the ordering, printing and distribution of training and match kit for all players and staff including off pitch and academy. · Check for and arrange replacement of any damaged garments and/or equipment. · Communicate with players, coaches and staff on equipment needs for training sessions and match fixtures. · Manage the inventory, budget and ordering of all kit and equipment needed throughout the season for first team and academy. · Launder and dry all of the training and match garments for first team and match kit for the U21 team. · Ensure that all training and match garments are maintained to a high standard and are stored in the correct location. · Ensure all Kit and Equipment rooms remain a clean and tidy environment to work. 2. Customer Service and Stakeholder Management · Anticipate needs by ensuring there is sufficient time for proactive assessment of needs against training and matchday plans · Seek feedback at appropriate points to ensure expectations are aligned · Check-in with coaching staff ahead of training to ensure they have everything they need for the session · Become very familiar with each player’s preferences and ensure timely delivery of all kit and equipment they require · Build effective working relationships with players, football staff and the wider Operations and Academy team to contribute positively to the overall running of the department · Lead with a solutions-focussed approach with the willingness to go above-and-beyond to meet expectations · Set high personal standards for work, with regular review of how to improve own work and that of the department 3. Matchdays and Tours · Prepare all match kits in accordance to league and cup regulations to ensure players have the correct kit and applications. · Manage the packing, preparation and transportation of kit & equipment for all fixtures and tours. · Manage the setup and clean-up of all London City Lionesses match day fixtures, including home, away and on tour. · Ensure that all kit vehicle requirements are arranged with the Football Operations Manager in a timely manner. 4. Other ad-hoc duties as assigned from time-to-time by management Club Accountabilities 1. To ensure compliance with all relevant legal, regulatory, ethical and social requirements. 5. To keep confidential any information gained regarding the Club and its personnel. What we are looking for Qualifications and Training Essential · Safeguarding Desirable · Qualifications relevant to the role e.g business administration Knowledge, Skills and Experience Essential · Ability to work effectively with others to make a positive contribution · Strong organisation skills and work ethic, with a desire to provide excellent standards of service · Good level of understanding of kit and equipment requirements during training sessions and matches · Full, clean driving licence to be able to drive the kit van to away fixtures and tours · Solutions-focussed approach and can-do mindset · Strong customer service skills with a commitment to providing high levels of support · Proactive and detail oriented approach to work · Ability to use MS Office products such as Outlook, Excel, Word etc · Working knowledge of health and safety as it relates to the kit room, kit van and other required working areas Desirable · Previous exposure to a similar elite sport environment Characteristics · Passionate about women’s football and broader women’s sport culture. · Entrepreneurial spirit and ability to deal with matrix stakeholders & ambiguity. · High standards of personal integrity and EQ. · Comfortable and able to work on own initiative · Has a learning mindset; is keen to continue their self-development and keep up to date with best practice and learning opportunities · Continually seeks to improve efficiency and performance · Seeks out and embraces new ways of thinking and working – not afraid to fail.
