Join Oaklands College at our dynamic St Albans campus as an A-Level Physical Education (AQA) Lecturer, motivating Year 12 and 13 students to excel academically and practically. You’ll deliver engaging, inclusive lessons, monitor progress, provide meaningful feedback, and prepare students for exam success. From enrolment to results day, you’ll play a key role in shaping confident, high-performing learners while contributing to curriculum development within a supportive, forward-thinking department. Your Day-to-Day Impact To teach A-level Physical Education (PE) in line with the AQA syllabus; To plan and develop engaging, comprehensive lessons that cater to different learning styles and abilities; Manage student behaviour and engagement in line with College behaviour policy To set and mark assignments, monitoring student progress and providing feedback to help students improve their performance and prepare them for the A-level exams; To maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress and grades; To write reports and communicate with parents about student progress; To contribute to departmental development through participation in curriculum planning, quality assurance, internal verification of student work and professional development activities. Is This You? A degree in Physical Education (PE)/Sport Science or a related field; Familiarity with current research and advancements to keep lessons relevant and interesting; Excellent organisational, planning and communication skills; Skill in explaining difficult ideas in a way that is accessible to students.
