NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK, employing around 40,000 staff across various clinical and non-clinical roles. We provide acute hospital, primary, community, and mental health services to a population of over 1.15 million, expanding to 2.2 million with regional and national services.
This is a permanent full-time post (37 hours) working Monday to Friday from 08:30 to 20:00.
The post holder will function as an autonomous practitioner within a multi-professional team, ensuring accessible, high-standard, culturally sensitive, and effective person-centred Sexual and Reproductive Health care across all Sandyford services, based on their in-depth knowledge, expertise, and experience.
As a registered nurse, the post holder will deliver a range of skilled Sexual & Reproductive Health interventions, including fitting and removal of contraceptive implants and intrauterine devices, testing and treatment of sexually transmitted infections and blood-borne viruses, partner notification, and other health advising interventions.
The post holder will also provide mentorship and support to pre- and post-registration medical and nursing students, as well as staff new to the role.
