About The Role We are looking for a Mid-Level Gameplay Designer who has proficient Unreal knowledge and experience to join our exciting growing team. Being part of a small team, we are looking for a Gameplay Design Generalist who has a flair for finding creative solutions to design problems, and who has a desire to collaborate with a committed development team. Ideal candidates should be enthusiastic team players who are eager to learn and develop in our inclusive studio. The role will entail: Working under the direction of our Lead Designers and Senior Designers, you will be responsible for multiple areas of our game that could include quest design and implementation, open world content design and more. You will work independently, as well as working closely with other departments to deliver on the studio’s project vision. You will create clear and concise design documentation to inform the wider team of your ideas and form the basis of their implementation. You will participate in regular design reviews. About You You have a good working knowledge of Unreal Engine. You have a hands-on and collaborative approach to problem solving and enjoy working with others to find the best solutions. You are self-motivated, understand goals, and research to plot a pathway to achieve them. You excel in design and deliver quality solutions to help the team achieve their goals. You communicate well, both within the design team and the wider studio development team in a fast-moving environment. You are thorough and diligent in researching and creating content with existing IP, to provide authentic gameplay experiences for players of all ages. You have a desire to learn, you take direction and feedback well, can be self-critical, and want to grow in a collaborative team. You have a high level of professionalism and have excellent problem-solving skills. Bonus Points A good degree, post-graduate qualification, or relevant experience, in videogame design. Experience working with the level sequencer, and general blueprints within Unreal. One or more titles shipped in Unreal. A love of family friendly videogames.
