We have a fantastic opportunity to join our fast-paced and exciting Emergency Centre Administration Team as a Support Rota Coordinator. This developmental post offers a clear progression path: starting at Band 3 while you learn the ropes and develop core competencies, then moving into a Band 4 role—typically within 6 months.
In this vital position, you will:
1. Support the Emergency Centre Rota Coordinator and Operational Team.
2. Help ensure safe, efficient, and clinically appropriate staffing across Emergency Departments and Acute Medicine footprints at RSH and PRH.
3. Play a key role in day-to-day staffing decisions and rota coordination.

Previous NHS or rota/administration experience is desirable but not essential.
Main duties of the job
8. To work with the Rota-Co-ordinator in relation to the provision of cover for Rotas within the Emergency Centre
9. Support the Emergency Centre Rota Co-ordinator and Operational Team to work through vacancies, both short and long term
10. Identify issues and provide solutions to rota issues
11. Liaise with all teams to ensure vacancies are covered as efficiently as possible, this includes contacting doctors directly if any urgent cover is required
12. With the Rota Co-ordinator, establish and maintain effective administrative systems and processes between Medical People Services, Corporate Education, HR, and Payroll
13. Be responsible for liaising with various teams external to the centre on a regular basis
14. To receive and respond effectively to annual leave and study leave requests from all grades of doctors, ensuring the sign off process is followed
15. Maintain records on Medic On Duty on a daily basis
16. Regularly update and report Drs training compliance
