Overview
Community Coach at Argyle Community Trust. The post holder will be responsible for increasing sports and activities in East Cornwall & North Devon, aligning with the Trust’s strategic plans and growth across the two counties.
Responsibilities
* Deliver comprehensive PE, school sport and curriculum-based provision to primary schools within ECND and fulfill contractual duties with the schools.
* Lead and deliver school programmes alongside Argyle Community partners.
* Ensure all targets and outcomes of a programme are completed; complete reports for schools programmes; lead coaching on Long Term Player Development Centres.
* Deliver holiday courses across Devon and Cornwall; liaise with existing partners to retain and expand the business; develop new partners through projects and schools.
* Sustain current schools contracts and achieve KPIs for new contracts as set out by the Trust; complete reviews and session evaluations for schools.
* Increase provision and participant numbers as per the development plan; sustain and develop after-school clubs within East Cornwall & North Devon.
* Be willing to work evenings and weekends to meet job demands; deliver and develop PSHE workshops and resources.
* Administrative duties include data entry for participants, supporting the ECND data lead, completing office tasks, monitoring procedures, and promoting Equality and Diversity in all tasks.
* Participate in Argyle Community Trust CPD; operate under Health & Safety and Safeguarding procedures; contribute to training updates and CPD events; maintain coaching files and HR records; participate in Quality Assurance checks; uphold the Trust’s EDI policy.
* Attend Fit and Fed Holiday programmes; liaise with schools, venues, community groups and partners; maintain kit, equipment, and inventories.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Good, in-depth knowledge of the KS1 & KS2 National Curriculum and school sport; experience delivering football and multi-skills in schools, sports centres, and community settings for young people aged 3–14 years.
* Other sports coaching or teaching qualifications preferred; proficient computer literacy; ability to undertake key administrative duties.
Working Arrangements
* Hours: 20-30 hours per week; evening and weekend work required.
* Contract: Permanent, part-time; Reports to East Cornwall & North Devon Regional Manager.
* Area: East Cornwall & North Devon; Start Date: April 2022; Closing date previously listed as 14th March 2022.
