Role Purpose We are looking for an organised, proactive Training Manager to coordinate and drive our technical training programmes. You’ll ensure our engineers receive the right learning experiences to grow—whether they are apprentices, new hires, or senior specialists expanding their skills. This role does not involve delivering training, but instead focuses on coordinating, tracking, improving, and driving development across the business. Key Responsibilities Manage and coordinate all training programmes, including: Apprenticeships and early careers pathways Product and manufacturer training Internal system training and technical development Track and record all training activity, certifications, and progress Build and maintain relationships with colleges, manufacturers, and training partners Ensure compliance with apprenticeship standards, documentation, and funding requirements Engineer Development & Engagement Work closely with line managers across the UK to support ongoing development Ensure individual training plans reflect real, stretching work experience across sectors, systems, and project types Engage senior engineers to support skills transfer, mentoring, and coaching Support the implementation of competency frameworks and clear technical career pathways Culture & Continuous Improvement Promote a visible learning culture where development is valued at every stage of a career Help position learnd as the best place in the BMS industry to develop and grow Gather feedback, track outcomes, and continuously improve training programmes Travel Requirement While our main office is in Stockport, this role does not need to be office-based. You will, however, travel regularly across the UK to visit regions, worksites, apprentices, line managers and training providers. Being visible and connected with teams is essential, and a company car or car allowance is provided.
