Location: Christian Head Residential Home, Kirkby Stephen
Salary: £13.26 - £17.96 per hour (the advertised hourly rate includes a supplement (JWC) to the base grade; JWC supplements are conditional on the physical demands and/or working conditions of the role). A market supplement is currently applied to all night and weekend (Saturday and Sunday) shifts, uplifting the hourly rate to between £17.68 - £17.96. This will replace any previous market supplements and will apply to both contracted and additional hours.

About the Role
As a Night Support Worker (Carer, Care Worker, Care Assistant) you will support our residents typically between 9:30pm and 07:30am. You will be responsible for administering medication, ensuring all security checks are completed, dealing with emergencies and assisting our Service Users with any of their needs. The role is demanding with significant responsibility; we are seeking someone who can respond well, adapt, and make safe and confident decisions to support residents’ wellbeing.

About Our Home
Christian Head provides a safe, caring, home-from-home environment for up to 28 residents with complex health care needs. Located in Kirkby Stephen, we offer respite and residential care for the elderly, frail, or those with dementia.
Working within our Residential Care Service will typically involve shifts covering between 7:00am–10:00pm (days) or 9:30pm–7:30am (nights), over 7 days, 365 days a year. This includes alternate weekends as part of a rota and Bank Holidays.

DBS
This role is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (ROA) 1974 and requires an enhanced DBS check with an Adults Barred List check. This role involves working in regulated activity; it is an offence for people barred from working in regulated activity to apply for roles that require unsupervised work with adults.
