The role:
Our client are seeking a talented and versatile Graphic Designer with proven experience in packaging design, and a particular specialism in retail point of sale (POS) and in-store customer experience materials. The ideal candidate will bring creativity, commercial awareness, and a strong understanding of how visual communication can influence customer behaviour in retail environments. In addition, you will have a track record of producing high quality marketing graphics for social media and websites, ensuring brand consistency across all digital and physical touchpoints.
1. Develop and design retail POS materials, display units, signage, in-store communications, and other assets that enhance the customer shopping experience.
2. Create impactful packaging designs that align with brand guidelines and appeal to target audiences.
3. Produce engaging digital graphics for social media campaigns, email marketing, and website content.
4. Work collaboratively with the marketing, product, and commercial teams to interpret briefs and deliver compelling visual solutions.
5. Prepare artwork for print and digital output, ensuring accuracy, quality, and compliance with technical specifications.
6. Contribute creative ideas to seasonal campaigns, product launches, and promotional activities.
7. Manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and maintaining high standards of design.
8. Maintain organised project files and follow established workflow processes.
The successful candidate:
9. Demonstrable experience in retail POS design and creating materials that improve in-store engagement and customer journeys.
10. Strong portfolio showcasing packaging design, retail POS, and digital marketing graphics.
11. Proficiency in both Mac and PC environments.
12. Advanced skills in Adobe Creative Cloud applications, including InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
13. Experience using Procreate or other digital illustration tools is highly advantageous.
14. Strong understanding of print production processes and preparing artwork for manufacture.
15. Excellent layout, typography, and visual communication skills.
16. Ability to interpret brand guidelines and maintain visual consistency across multiple platforms.
17. Strong organisational and time-management skills with the ability to work under pressure.
18. Experience working within retail, FMCG, or consumer-focused industries.
19. Knowledge of motion graphics, video editing, or 3D visualisation (beneficial but not essential).
20. A proactive, collaborative, and solution-driven mindset.
