IT Application Engineer, Cash Application, OFA Cash Application
Amazon’s Finance Technology team manages large-scale software platforms that support our global business operations. We collaborate across various functions to enable new market launches and enterprise programs, partnering closely with the CFO organization and business leadership worldwide.
We are seeking a Developer to support and enhance applications within the procure-to-pay, order-to-cash, and report-to-report processes. The role involves supporting modules within the e-Business suite, providing end-user support, managing issues, and implementing operational improvements across different regions. The goal is to deliver high-quality service to Amazon’s expanding global business.
Key Responsibilities
* Candidate must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
* Demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills.
* Engage with business users to understand and document their processes and requirements.
* Conduct gap analysis to identify system configuration and development needs within the e-Business suite.
* Design and implement system modifications.
* Collaborate with business users, developers, and Oracle Support to troubleshoot and resolve Oracle system issues.
* Create SQL queries for troubleshooting, metrics, and ad-hoc reporting.
* Develop and implement system modifications through coding and design.
Basic Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
* Strong problem-solving skills.
* Experience in analyzing and documenting business processes.
* Ability to perform system configuration and development tasks.
* Proficiency in troubleshooting Oracle systems and creating SQL queries.
Preferred Qualifications
* Deep functional and technical knowledge of Oracle e-Business Suite in a multi-organization environment.
* At least four years of experience with Oracle Financials, supporting modules like Receivables, Cash Management, General Ledger, Procurement, Payables, iExpenses, Fixed Assets.
* Strong understanding of underlying tables, integration points, and technological processes.
* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
* Excellent analytical skills to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions.
* Effective collaboration and communication skills across diverse teams.
* Proficiency in root cause analysis and complex problem solving.
