Salary: £28,605 - £31,029 per annum (pro rata for part-time)

Working Hours: 37 hours per week

About the Role

A unique opportunity has become available for the right candidate to assist in the running of the Chief Executive's office. We are looking for an experienced PA/Senior Administrator to hit the ground running, working closely with the Personal Assistant to the Chief Executive, to provide a comprehensive, high quality, confidential secretarial and administrative service. This will include working directly with the Chief Executive and covering their PA's duties in their absence. The role will also include providing support to the Monitoring Officer of the Council.

Key duties will include:

* Acting as first point of contact for people contacting the Chief Executive's office by phone or post.
* Complex diary and inbox management.
* Arranging and servicing meetings including taking minutes and visitor bookings and arrangements.
* Taking responsibility for specific work areas relating to long service employees, room bookings and undertaking information cascades.
* Supporting with the processing of complaints.
* Communicating with people of all levels within the Council and external organisations such as staff from other councils, partner organisations and Elected Members.

About You

To apply for this post, you must be able to evidence in your application how you meet the following criteria:

* Hold NVQ level 3 in Administration or equivalent; or equivalent experience.
* Have experience of providing a range of admin tasks at a senior level and servicing meetings including minute taking.
* Be competent in the use of Microsoft packages including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
* Be self motivated and able to prioritise own workload and work to deadlines without close supervision.
* Have excellent written and verbal communication and organisational skills.
* Have good interpersonal skills including assertiveness and diplomacy.
