Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioner to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in early childhood education and demonstrate exceptional leadership skills. As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play a vital role in creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for children, ensuring their safety, development, and well-being. Your ability to communicate effectively with both children and parents will be essential in fostering positive relationships within the nursery setting.
Responsibilities
* Provide high-quality care and education to children aged 0-5 years in accordance with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
* Plan and implement engaging activities that promote children's learning and development across all areas.
* Observe and assess children's progress, maintaining accurate records to track their development.
* Foster a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment for all children and families.
* Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding their child's progress and daily activities.
* Manage daily routines, including meal times, nap times, and play sessions, ensuring a smooth flow of activities.
* Collaborate with colleagues to create a supportive team atmosphere that encourages professional growth and development.
* Uphold nursery policies and procedures, particularly regarding health and safety regulations.
Qualifications
* A relevant qualification in Early Childhood Education or Childcare (Level 2 or Level 3).
* Previous experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is highly desirable.
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
* Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
* A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their development.
* Ability to drive initiatives that enhance the nursery's educational offerings.
* Knowledge of child safeguarding practices and commitment to promoting children's welfare.
