The Commercial Gas Engineer will support the Repairs & Maintenance Manager in delivering the gas related maintenance and repairs contracts held.
The role will suit a Commercial Gas Engineer who has technical experience in undertaking gas/other mechanical maintenance, repairs and installations in schools, universities, MoD sites, factories, and public sector buildings.
The role requires the ability to lead on jobs, to independently plan and deliver work assigned to the highest quality and within given timeframes, and in accordance with all statutory requirements, company policies and industry good practice.
This role is on the 'front line' for the business and must therefore always represent the company positively and professionally. The role is expected to demonstrate initiative, exceptional time management skills and the ability to always meet tight deadlines. The job also entitles liaising with clients onsite whilst undertaking work; therefore, excellent communication skills is essential for the role.
Working Hours
37.5 hours per week (core hours are usually 8am-4pm but work outside of this timeframe may be required to meet client / work needs; therefore flexibility is required)

KEY SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE
ESSENTIAL
* At least 1 year experience in a similar role
* NVQ level 2 & 3 Heating and Ventilation or Commercial Plumbing
* Commercial Gas (CORT1, CIGA1, ICPN1, TPCP1, TPCPIA)
* Commercial Gas COMCATS and Laundry
* Unvented water heaters
* Sound knowledge of Health & Safety and COSHH Legislation and M&E industry regulations
* Site Safety or CSCS Health and Safety Scheme or equivalent
* Renewable Technology qualifications
* Computer literate with skills in word, excel, email, internet etc and CRM skills 3
* Trustworthy and discreet
* Highly organised, with the ability to manage own jobs for the day and across numerous sites
* Able to work on own initiative.
* Good time management skills
* Experience of working at a small to medium sized company
* Used to working to tight deadlines
* Strong communication and problem-solving skills
