HGV Technician (Level 3 Qualified)
Location: Blandford
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time
Salary: £17.00 - £24.00 per hour + Overtime
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Level 3 Qualified HGV Technician to join a busy and professional commercial vehicle workshop in Poole. This role offers excellent earning potential, guaranteed overtime, and the opportunity to work within a well-established team maintaining a fleet of commercial vehicles.
We are ideally seeking a qualified HGV Technician with an HGV licence; however, candidates with strong commercial vehicle experience are encouraged to apply.
Working Hours
Alternating Shift Pattern
Day Shift
- Monday to Friday
- 07:00 17:00
Evening Shift
- Monday to Friday
- 12:00 21:00
- Every other Saturday: 07:00 12:00 (typically finishing around 11:00)
Night shift options may also be considered.
The Role
- Carrying out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on HGVs and commercial vehicles
- Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults
- Conducting inspections and preventative maintenance
- Preparing vehicles for MOT inspections
- Ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard
- Maintaining accurate workshop records and documentation
Requirements
- Level 3 NVQ, IMI, City & Guilds, or equivalent qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
- Previous experience as an HGV Technician
- HGV Driving Licence preferred
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Commitment to quality workmanship and safety standards
