Aldwark Manor Estate is a privately owned hotel with golf nestled in a picturesque village between York and Harrogate. Set in 200 acres of beautiful countryside, this luxury hotel provides a complete escape for both business and leisure guests and is a popular venue for weddings.
Over the last few years, the hotel has undergone major renovations in the bedrooms, restaurant, residents lounge, sports bar, and all public areas. This year, we will start our new and opulent spa and state-of-the-art leisure areas, as well as new meeting rooms and an additional 24 bedrooms. The leisure facilities opening later this year, with the new spa, bedrooms, and meeting space, are scheduled for 2026.

We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Assistant Spa & Leisure Manager (a new position) to join our team at Aldwark Manor Estate. We are looking for someone passionate about the industry to support the Head of Spa & Leisure in the day-to-day running of the business while maximizing sales daily. The role involves supporting team management and driving memberships.
Purpose of the role:
To ensure that the Spa & Leisure business operates smoothly in collaboration with the Head of Spa & Leisure.
Main duties include:
* Supporting the Head of Spa & Leisure in all aspects of daily operations to ensure standards are maintained efficiently and effectively.
* Working closely with the Head of Spa & Leisure to establish and implement sales and marketing campaigns with relevant department heads.
* Ensuring all operational procedures, commercial expectations, and codes of conduct are met, under the guidance of the Head of Spa & Leisure and in line with departmental policies.
* Maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout the Spa and Leisure department.
* Being fully aware of all hotel services and activities.
* Developing an exceptional Spa & Leisure team through effective leadership and management.
* Driving membership sales to meet budget expectations.
* Participating in health & safety and fire policies, ensuring compliance across the business.
* Adhering to security procedures related to keys, stock, and property.
* Recording and reporting faults and damages to Maintenance.
* Following safe and hygienic working practices to comply with health and safety legislation.
* Managing lost property according to hotel procedures.
* Assisting with team member training.
* Complying with hotel and company rules and regulations as outlined in the team member handbook.
* Collaborating with the fitness team to ensure classes are conducted professionally and effectively.
